Live Review: Ash Grunwald, Hein Cooper, Sahara Beck @ The Triffid 19.06.15

Ash

Friday wasn’t your average night in the Valley. It was a night of firsts, discoveries and big voices.
The Triffid played host to a line up that made this reviewer fall in love with Australian music all over again. This was the first show for Ash Grunwald at the Triffid but definitely not the last. The Triffid was made for acts like the ones that took the stage on Friday.

Melbourne boys Them Bruins have released a cracking new single ‘Heading For The Harrows’ and if we wouldn’t annoy the whole office doing so, we’d be cranking it out of the speakers right now.

For their twentieth year, they decided it was time to rise from their dormant state, release a greatest hits record, and hit the road in celebration!

Review: TV On The Radio @ The Tivoli, 10.06.15

Indie-rock heavy weights, TV on the Radio, recently tore through Australia on a tour that included performances at a little place called the Sydney Opera House and none other than Brisbane’s own The Tivoli, leaving rave reviews in their wake. I wish I could say that this article was different in that regard, but that would be a darn lie. TVOTR slayed.
