Sweden’s José González is heading back to Brisbane with his band for a special show at The Tivoli next year to play fan favourites across his catalogue and will be celebrating his first solo album in seven years, ‘Vestiges and Claws’.
February 10th next year will be José González’s long awaited return to Brisbane, he is heading back downunder to celebrate his new record ‘Vestiges and Claws’. Conceived as the third party of an acoustic trilogy complementing 2006’s ‘Veneer’ and 2007’s ‘In Our Nature’, the album is almost entirely self-produced.
He’s spent the off-season working with his electronic edged pop project Junip, González has also been busy working with Theodore Shapiro on the soundtrack of ‘The Secret Life of Walter Mitty’ and most recently contributed his version of This is How We Walk on the Moon to the seminal Red Hot charity compilation series.
‘Vestiges and Claws’ has seen González return to his roots, and has already made a top 40 splash in the Australian Album Charts. González will welcome special guests New Zealand indie darlings Tiny Ruins to support his Brisbane show.
