London indie four-piece The Vaccines have just announced a headline show at The Triffid on Sunday, 8 November.
Emerging in the summer of 2010, they were quickly hailed amongst The Stokes and The Libertines as saviours of guitar bands. The Vaccines’ blend of retro surf punk, Ramones like guitar playing and Everly Brothers pop hooks blended with high octane melodies saw them praised as one of the hottest guitar bands around.
Their debut album, ‘What Did You Expect From The Vaccines?’, released in 2011, rocketed to platinum status, while their second effort ‘Come Of Age’ hit number one just 18 months later.
Now with their third album ‘English Graffiti’ which was released earlier this year, The Vaccines have embodied elements of the old sound while merging with a completely different sonic palette to create some of the best songs of their career.
This headline show comes off the back of their supporting tour for Mumford & Sons, and is one of the few chances to catch them live in Australia.
