Mac DeMarco Announces More Shows for Aus Tour
Mac DeMarco’s first ever, Australian tour has everyone wanting more.. so here it is!
Mac Demarco has announced his Falls Festival sideshows, including a three-night residency at 170 Russell in Melbourne from 3 to the 5 of January and his biggest ever show in Sydney at the Enmore Theatre on 6 January.
Demarco’s last release, the mini-LP ‘Another One’, was released in August and became a chart topping success, and lead to a stack of club and theatre shows around the world, as well as festivals like End Of The Road, Primavera, Bonnaroo, Pitchfork, Outside Lands, Shaky Knees and of course Falls Festival.
‘Another One’ is Demarco at his best, both melancholic and romantic and blurring the line between happy and sad nostalgia.
Nearly a year has passed since Demarco and his band wandered across Australia on the Laneway Festival, which featured plenty of good times for fans and the band alike. It’s funny how Demarco started the year in Australia, and will now be concluding his year at Falls, though I doubt Demarco will have time to reflect, given his relentless touring schedule.
