Jeremy Neale’s latest EP ‘Let Me Go Out In Style’ is out this Friday. It’s the result of four producers, many guest musicians and the stylistic influences of 80s new romantic and sophisti-pop. It’s really all that and a bag of chips.
‘Let Me Go Out In Style’ was the product of Jeremy’s desire to explore new styles and become a master songwriter. After the staggered release of The News and Hold On Together, the EP’s third single is The Love Calling. The new track is actually not so new, born a long time ago, in a headspace far away. It was a song Jeremy had always loved but could never find the right time to release. The track features guest vocals from Harriette Pilbeam, the track is pure 80s pop goodness with sneaky sadness in the lyrics.
The new EP chronicles the lingering and residual feelings after a relationship has ended, and the ups, downs and general introspection of the space until another begins. The male and female vocals run through six tracks and were Jeremy’s was of drawing attention to the idea that all moments in a relationship are shared.
Jeremy is hitting the road and going out in style, hitting up Brisbane, Melbourne, Perth, Fremantle and Sydney. You can listen to the new EP before its release on Friday at The Music.
