Unknown Mortal Orchestra Touring Australia In December

American crossed New Zealand outfit Unknown Mortal Orchestra are heading Down Under in December for a run of shows and appearances at Meredith Music Festival and Fairgrounds Festival.

The Portland via Auckland outfit fronted by psychedelic visionary Ruban Nielson will play shows in Perth, Sydney, Brisbane, and Melbourne before hitting Meredith and Fairground Festival stages.

It’ll be the band’s first shows since their exclusive dates at the St Jerome's Laneway Festival in 2014.

Released in February, Unknown Mortal Orchestra’s 3rd album “Multi Love” is already being considered as one of the year's best albums.

There’s also plenty of hype surrounding their new live show with their sets often descending into extended psychedelic jams and with the addition of keyboardist Quincy McCrary their sets have taken on an extra dimension.

Unknown Mortal Orchestra will be supported by New Zealand punk outfit Las Tetas. The three-piece are known for their brand of cathartic punk rock that in their own words “tears feigned neo-jangle sincerity to shreds".

Tickets for all shows on sale Friday 21 August 9:00am local time.
