Bobby Alu Home To Support Nation Wide Tour

Bobby Alu, is packing his bongos and bringing his Uke, beautiful pacific beats (and bountiful maine) home this August, to support Xavier Rudd & The United Nations on their epic Australia wide tour.

With the successful launch of his digital six-track 'Bay Sessions' EP in March, winning the 'Most Popular Male Artist' award at the most recent Queensland Music Awards, and having spent the year performing and collaborating across the globe, 2015 has already been a big one for Bobby Alu. But it just got bigger.

This August will see Bobby Alu heading home with his full band for an epic 33-date tour right across the country as main support for Xavier Rudd & the United Nations. It's a easy enough transition for Bobby given his usual spot as drummer on the United Nations stool BUT, given the swap from front of stage with ukulele in hand to behind the drum kit, it will also mean that a 33 date tour will see him playing 66 shows!

Expect a fresh, simple sound themed by ukulele, pacific beats, catchy songs, tasty harmonies and chill interspersed with log drumming and some of the tastiest grooves this side of Samoa. So tasty in fact that the title track from his 2013 'Take it Slow' album has just been chosen by Samoa Tourism as theme song for their 'Beautiful Samoa' roadshow campaign.

For those waiting for new tunes there's new music coming early next year, in the immediacy there's this unreleased little number to tie you over
