It's been a hell of a decade for our favorite un-shaven, food-savin-haven rock band, The Beards, and to celebrate, they’re hitting the road for an anniversary tour of Australia this October. The 'Ten Long Years, One Long Beard' Tour will take the band on a limited run of shows at selected venues in Queensland, New South Wales, Victoria and South Australia.
The tour will see the bushy Adelaide four-piece return to Australian soil after embarking on their fifth international tour in just three years and to compliment, are teaming up with Melbourne inner-beard bearer and solo rocker darlin' Dallas Frasca.
“When we started out, we didn't anticipate just how much global demand there would be for songs about beards.” Reflects frontman Johann Beardraven. “It's been really amazing to discover that so many other people around the world share our unwavering enthusiasm when it comes to beards.”
Since forming in 2005 with the intention of playing just one show, The Beards have gone on to release four albums of original songs about...you know it, beards! They’ve received two ARIA Award nominations, and have played sold out shows through Europe, Australia and North America- inspiring, and infuriating girlfriends, clogging drains and vaccum cleaners worldwide!“Beards have seen an overwhelming global resurgence over the last ten years.” Explains bassist Nathaniel Beard. “I think it's fair to say that we've played an instrumental role in that – both literally and figuratively.” To mark their ten year milestone and to coincide with the commencement of the tour, The Beards will be releasing a brand new single as well as a special anniversary double album, consisting of a 'best of' compilation, rarities, and a live album recording at the Metro in Melbourne earlier this year.

Well Johann, so do we, so do we. The 'Ten Long Years, One Long Beard' Anniversary Tour will give Aussie audiences the opportunity to see the beloved local export up close, performing some of their favourite tracks from their extensive, beard-themed back catalogue.
