Live Review: Morning Harvey EP Launch @ Coniston Lane Brisbane
Morning Harvey opened the set with a tremendous bang, unleashing the overwhelming soundscape upon us like a ton of bricks that would pound our eardrums for the next hour.
Leaving the hypothetical womb, glitter and all, pysch lords Moses Gunn Collective have announced the release of their debut album and accompanying tour.
After their debut single, 'Back Into The Womb' went gangbusters, the band have now announced that the full album will be released on the 7th August. Following this, they'll embark on a five date tour kicking off in Byron Bay on 15 August and also taking in stops on the Sunshine Coast, Sydney, Melbourne and their hometown, Brisbane.
Hot on the glittery-heels of their national tour with The Jungle Giants and a freshly inked booking deal with Select Music, Moses Gunn Collective are earning a reputation for unforgettable live shows complete with DIY costumes, enviable and semi-professional dance moves and a whole heap of fun.
After establishing themselves as local favourites in the Brisbane music scene, MGC gained national and international exposure with their recent EP "Morning Shakes" and the singles 'Shalala' and 'Mary', scoring rotation on triple j and community stations around Australia and critical acclaim throughout the international blog community.
An eclectic mix of musicians, MGC draw from their other projects (Orphans Orphans, The Belligerents, The Furrs, Morning Harvey, The Family Jordan), mixing up psychedelic dream pop with soulful crooning and howling riffs, creating music that feels simultaneously classic and fresh.
