Laura Marling Wants You To Meet Her Friends
Indie pixie Laura Marling has graced us with a visual aid to accompany her single Gurdjieff’s Daughter.
Two years ago a lovely folk lady came to our country for a very exciting tour. It sold out like wild fire and a lot of brooding, deep, dark and mysterious music lovers missed out. But she’s back and now it’s your chance to plug those tear ducts and get along to see the gloriously gorgeous Laura Marling on her very limited, very exciting Australian tour.
Jet setting to our fair nation this October, the lovely British lady will be stopping in four of our major cities, in a quick whip around (though don’t stress Brisbane, you’re one of those four).
Released just over two months ago, her fifth studio album ‘Short Movie’ took the folk scene by storm (and by that we mean that a lot of people probably played the record as they read or something) and she’s been thrust back into the limelight as we remember why we fell in love with her delicate self in the first place.
Returning with a full band, she will be turning this electric driven record into a full on live show, with no disappointments in store (hold us to that, we’re certain she won’t disappoint).
The three time Mercury Prize winner, Brit Awards and NME Awards winner has definitely lived up to her name on this record, now it’s time we sink our teeth into the live thing. We cannot and will not miss out.
