The Blackwater Fever Tour Starts Next Week
After the successful release of their third album ‘The Depths”, The Blackwater Fever are pleased to be hitting the road again to celebrate their second single “Won’t Cry Over You”.
This April, ten of the most inspiring, successful and hardworking women in the industry are heading to our shores in a series of special Bluesfest sideshows across the country.
It is an incredible mix of the established, the up and comers and the success stories - where one thing is for sure; the calibre of all of these female musicians is undeniable.
Inspirational artists, India.Arie and, Grammy award winning, Joss Stone are uniting for an extraordinary series of shows in Brisbane, Sydney and Melbourne, which begin in late April.
A spectacular success story is KT Tunstall, going from busker to Jools Holland and not to mention a swag of awards and albums in no time at all. KT Tunstall is well-known for her incredible hit song "Suddenly I See" which charted number 6 on the ARIA Singles Chart in 2005. KT will be here for a number of shows starting in Newcastle in late April.
Suzanne Vega who Biography Magazine called “one of the most brilliant songwriters of her generation” and a leading figure in the revival of folk music, will be performing a string of dates around the country - beginning in Perth on 11 April and ending in Sydney on 20 April.
Skye Edwards one of the most gifted soul singers of today and the leading lady of Morcheeba will be melting hearts with her sweet and sensual vocals in Sydney and Melbourne.
Three time Grammy winner Kasey Chambers, Australia’s Queen of Country, will be the very special guest of Steve Earle and The Dukes in Brisbane, Sydney and Melbourne - beginning in Brisbane on 15 April.
Up and comers such as Belgian- American multi-instrumentalist Trixie Whitley will be bringing her delightful blend of Soul, Jazz, Pop, Punk, and Rhythm and Blues to Sydney and Melbourne for the very first time in late April.
“The Southern Fireball” Nikki Hill who draws on vintage female Rhythm and Blues influences such as LaVern Baker, Etta James and Ruth Brown will be the guest of Jimmie Vaughan in Sydney and Melbourne.
Powerhouse singer-songwriter Beth Hart, who will be touring Australia for the very first time, is one to watch. Her career has exploded and just some of her accomplishments include recording two albums with Joe Bonamassa, collaborating with Jeff Beck and Slash and her vocals featuring on Buddy Guy’s latest album.
Likewise is Tennessee native Valerie June, a self-taught musician, singer and songwriter who came to the fore after a mesmerising debut UK TV performance on Later…With Jools Holland and has toured with the Rolling Stones, Jake Bugg and Ryan Bingham.
