The John Steel Singers Welcome fellow Brisbanites Go Violets to National Tour

With just weeks before their new album hits shelves and their live, gritty goodness infiltrates venues across the nation, The John Steel Singers welcome fellow Brisbanites Go Violets to their Everything’s A Thread Album Tour this November.

Go Violets’ fiercely boppable tunes have hit fever pitch with the recent unveiling, nay unleashing, of new EP Heart Slice, including singles ‘Josie’, ‘Teenager’ and ‘Wanted’. Their ‘90s pop smarts, stop-you-in-your-step harmonies and beachcomber guitars make them a worthy addition to The John Steel collective; warming stages, and hearts, across the ten-date run.

Celebrating the release of sophomore LP offering Everything’s A Thread (out November 8th), The John Steel Singers are also pleased to announce the collective RSVP of a string of local supports to help kick off festivities. Melbourne four-piece Neighbourhood Youth are on deck at Ding Dong Lounge on Friday 8th November, before The Ocean Party bring their post-punk-meets-pop vibes to Ballarat’s Karova Lounge.

Donny Bennet promises a somewhat sordid affair in Wollongong, Newcastle and Sydney, with his sound oozing sophistication, sexuality and street heat. Goldsmith also joins the bill at Newcastle’s Small Band Room; a triple treat lineup not to be missed.

At the tender age of 17, almost legal Jesse Davidson will swoon and croon Adelaide’s Jive Bar, before Brisbane-based party poppers The Worriers join The John Steel Singers in Toowoomba, Brisbane and Maroochydore. The ‘Singers round out their national tour with a spot on Perth’s Slanted and Enchanted Festival on Saturday 7th December, alongside American ambient rockers Deerhunter.

The John Steel Singers’ forthcoming sophomore album Everything’s A Thread is out Friday 8th November via Dew Process/Universal. New single ‘Everything’s A Thread’ is out now. Tickets to The John Steel Singers’ national Everything’s A Thread Tour are on sale now.
