On the eve of the release their much anticipated debut album ATLAS, Sydney trio, RÜFÜS announce a national headline tour with support from YesYou (East Coast) and Motez (SA/WA).
The guys will hit the road in September/October playing new material from their debut release, including Triple J favourite ‘Take Me’ (#2 AIR) and Hype Machine #1 Desert Night.
Staying true to their DIY tradition, ATLAS was written, produced and recorded by the band between two studios they built themselves. One at a remote farmhouse on the NSW South coast, the second in a hollowed out water tank under one of their parents houses. It has already earned them props from the few who have heard it, including French heavyweight and Daft Punk collaborator, Alan Braxe (Stardust).
There is something about these guys that seems to make s*#t happen. Sold out parties in NYC, in front of band members from LCD Soundsystem. Skateboard riots at the Bake & Destroy premier in L.A. Main stage festival appearances as far away as Moscow. Multiple sold out shows in Australia. Remixes and originals for Kitsuné (FRA) and Plant (USA).
