CIVIL CIVIC play first ever shows in Melbourne and Adelaide next week

Civil Civic

Aussie expats Civil Civic return home to play their first ever Australian shows this February.  Invited to play at ATP Festival’s Ill Be Your Mirror alongside acts such as The Oh Sees and My Bloody Valentine, the boys will launch a series of local tour dates to coincide with their return to their homeland of Australia.

Catch them at Melbourne’s The Tote on Tuesday 19 February and Adelaide’s Crown and Anchor on Thursday 21 February.

Civil Civic are Aaron Cupples and Ben Green, two Australian expats now living in London and Barcelona respectively.  Joining the band on stage will be the enigmatic ‘Box’, part-drum machine, part light show and all road-case; the de-facto third member of the crew.

Through relentless touring and word of mouth, Civil Civic have cultivated a strong reputation for their explosive performances which has seen both The Guardian and NME praise their loud, raucous sets.  They’ve since gone on to share festival stages with the likes of Spiritualized and The xx.

Civil Civic’s Rules is out now on LP, CD and digital format via Remote Control.
