Ugly Kid Joe Is Back With Even Uglier New Music

It’s been almost 20 years since Ugly Kid Joe went on hiatus, but now the raucous rockers from America are returning to the scene with a new full length album titled ‘Uglier Than They Used Ta Be’.

The album was recorded at JT Studios and Balance studios under the guidance of producer and UKJ guitarist Dave Fortman who is known for working with acts such as Slipknot, Godsmack and Evanescene. The result is of course a killer album that can easily be named the most cohesive sounding Ugly Kid Joe record to date.

“It’s a full circle of sorts” says vocalist Whitfield Crane about the album. “There was a lot of love and talent in one room and that is exactly what this album sounds like”

The talent that Crane refers to comes to life in the addition of a few covers songs that go with the nine new original songs that all feature on the album. Rare Earth’s version of Papa Was A Rolling Stone features Austrailan chart topping singer Dallas Frasca, and Motorhead classic Ace Of Spades has a special guest appearance from none other than Motorhead guitarist Phil Campbell.

Uglier Than They Used Ta Be is available for pre-order now on itunes and is set for digital release for Australian fans on Friday, September 18.
