Deena Has The Blues With New Track

Indie blues-rocker Deena is back at it again with a brooding new single called Turpentine and another national tour set to begin later this month at Black Bear Lodge.

Told through an emotive modern blues, Deena paints a portrait of a user and abuser whose destructive habits cause nothing but pain. With a driving intensity the song features Deena alone with her electric guitar, singing with a tenderness that builds to a powerfully distorted reprise.

Mixed in Los Angeles by award winning producer Neil Baldock (Crowded House, Shihad) the single is grittier and darker than ever, without compromising her vocal talents full of raw, intense emotion.

Now with a full band at her back, featuring the talents of Joe Fallon, Jasper Gundersen and Jack Walton, Deena has embraced a new darker direction and tone.

The self-styled and self-taught singer/songwriter has burst on to the scene, having only started playing music three years ago. With musical influences ranging from Johnny Cash and KT Tunstall to Jeff Buckley, Deena already has two albums under her belt as well as a national tour and a string of festival dates and shows in the USA, Malaysia, Taiwan, Hong Kong, Indonesia and Japan.

To celebrate the release of Turpentine Deena is launching a national tour, so keep an eye out for this unique talent!
