Aussie hip-hop sensation Dylan Joel has announced that his debut album ‘Authentic Lemonade’ will be out on Friday 2 October, with pre-orders available now.
Off the back of this release, Joel will embark on a national headline tour, kicking off at Black Bear Lodge on Thursday 15 October. Tickets for this album launch tour are available now.
The new single off the album, called Blank, sees Joel take on the co-production duties as well as singing the hook and rapping his story of relationship turmoil where neither party is ready to end it despite knowing it’s not working out.
‘Authentic Lemonade’ also features the hip-hop party jam Swing and the captivating first single Numbers.
With the release of ‘Authentic Lemonade’, Joel effortlessly blends the sounds of hip-hop, gospel and soul, and creates a unique take on the genre with clever wordplay and socially aware lyrics. This debut album is two years in the making, and features an impressive list of collaborations, such as Mantra and DJ Ixm. Joel himself co-produced ‘Authentic Lemonade’ (along with ARIA award winning producer Cam Bluff) and showcases his musical dexterity and ability to jump from double-time raps to spoken word through vocal harmonies, as well as a wide range of instrumental skills.
