It’s been a big week for Melbourne based singer-songwriter Courtney Barnett. Not only is she fresh from her first-ever major festival date, at Coachella no less, she has just premiered her new music video for Double EP track, “Anonymous Club”.
Courtney, who specializes in a relaxed style of slide-guitar music which she has described as “slacker-rock,” is releasing her critically acclaimed album The Double EP: A Sea of Split Peas, for the first time in North America today on Mom + Pop Music, whom she signed with in February.
Because she hasn’t been busy enough, Courtney has also, somehow, created a special, limited, hand-drawn zine, which illustrates the view from her window as she travels the world. The zine, "A View to a Gig" is being released this Saturday for Record Store day, and will be available in selected independent record stores in Australia.
