Canberra three-piece SAFIA are quickly cementing themselves as the next indie electronic legends with their single "Listen to Soul, Listen to Blues."
Just last week the guys shared the Indian Summer remix of the breakout summer track with Indie Shuffle. Today SAFIA reveals Spenda C's remix of the track with Pigeons & Planes. Spenda C puts a touch of twerk on "Listen to Soul, Listen to Blues," creating something that "blends gorgeous elements of the original song with trap’s signatures." Already a buzzed about band in their native Australia with multiple plays on Triple J, SAFIA (Ben Woolner - Vocals/Producer, Michael Bell - Drums/ Producer, Harry Sayers - Guitars, Synths) now has set their eyes on global domination and they are well on their way.
The original single features the gorgeous R&B falsetto of band member Ben Woolner-Kirkham in front of a slow, patient piano build before the track explodes into a distorted synth frenzy. The full remix package featuring Indian Summer, Spenda C, Akouo, Leaderboy, and Pigeon is out next month on 10/9.
