Our livers may still be feeling the pain from the events of New Year’s Eve, wherever that may have been for everyone, and we don’t even want to think about Australia Day, but never fear because The Elephant Hotel has got your back this year.
Following a successful first year, The Elephant Hotel is making ‘Strewth’, their FREE Australia Day party an annual affair with 2016 shaping up to be bigger and better with a strong focus on bringing you Brisbane’s finest acts.
Last year saw Melbourne rockers, The Delta Riggs and Orphans Orphans grace the stage, however this year Brisbane favourites Velociraptor will be brininig along their strong 10 person line up to headline the event. Right behind them are QMusic Award nominees Babaganouj and the AU Review’s Queensland band of the year for 2015 WAAX.
Whilst enjoying the best music the city of Brisbane has to offer, those coming along can go into the running to win a BBQ just by purchasing a Coopers schooner or if that doesn’t take your fancy (which it should) you can enjoy the venues famous roast spit rolls throughout the whole afternoon.
