AU Review Winners Announced at Live Music Awards

Cheers to another great year of Australian music! The winners for this year’s AU Live Music Awards have been announced.

Held in Sydney’s Oxford Art Factory, the second annual awards ceremony celebrated the talents of artists including Meg Mac, Gang of Youths, and Tame Impala.

Among the ranks were Brisbane local Jeremy Neale, named QLD Voice of the Year, WAXX, named QLD Band of the Year, and the Triffid, named QLD Venue of the Year.

The Au Award: Johann Ponniah – I OH YOU

Live Act of the Year: Gang of Youths

Live Voice of the Year: Meg Mac

The Heatseeker Award: Ecca Vandal

Hip-Hop Live Act of the Year: Tkay Maidza

DJ or Electronic Live Act of the Year: Hermitude

Hard Rock or Metal Live Act of the Year: High Tension

Roots Live ACF Act of the Year: Kim Churchill

R&B or Soul Live Act of the Year: Ngaiire

Drummer of the Year: Dan Williams (Philly Jays, Art vs Science)

Guitarist of the Year: HARTS

Bassist of the Year: Tom Tilley (Client Liaison)

Instrumentalist of the Year: Elana Stone (All Our Exes Live in Texas)

Best Domestic Tour: Gang Of Youths – The Positions Album Launch Tour (August/September 2015)

Best Festival in Australia: Falls Music and Arts Festival / Southbound

International Live Achievement Award– Solo: Meg Mac

Interational Live Achievement – Band: Tame Impala
