New Music This Week

Need some new tunes to flesh out your playlist this weekend? Lucky for you we've done all the leg work to bring you a list of the best new releases we're loving this week. You can thank us later...

1. The 1975 – Love Me

It’s the first release since their recent re-emergence and brand overhaul and boy have they done it in style. Channelling some Bowie-esque ambiguity and downright funky tunes straight out of the 80’s, The 1975 have moved far away from the cookie-cutter pop genre they were initially mistaken for. We fricking love it!

2. MØ – Kamikaze

Shot in Kiev, Ukraine this new release from dance favourite MØ, features her raucous best on a day out in the city.

3. Jack Ladder and The Dreamlanders – To Keep & To Be Kept

Featuring Sharon Van Etten and for the first time, Jack Ladder’s elusive band The Dreamlanders. “It’s a love song that doesn’t use the word love”, Jack Ladder remarks on the song. “It could be more about acceptance than love. It’s practical. Love demystified. It’s about partners in crime which is a concept that’s very romantic to me.”

4. Kita Alexander – Like You Want To

Kita collaborates with Californian director (and pro skateboarder) Zach Miller for a dreamy video to accompany the track. "I wrote ‘Like You Want To', November last year in LA with one of my favourite producers Ben Romans. It's a song about speaking your mind and being comfortable with the person you're with" the 19 year old says of the track.

5. Frank Carter & The Rattlesnakes – Trouble

This one’s for fans of the heavier stuff. As intense, visceral and relentless as the frontman's famed live presence, this new clip finds the blood smeared getaway Frank Carter in lots and lots of trouble, following in the equally tense video for 'Juggernaut', and hot on the heels of a sold out London date and a bunch of UK dates with The Bronx.
