AIR Announces Carlton Dry Independent Music Awards Nominees

News just in, nominees have been announced by The Australian Independent Record Labels Association for the 2015 Carlton Dry Independent Music Awards.

It’s been 10 years since the awards show began from humble beginnings to what it is now. Ranging from jazz to hard rock/punk, this year’s nominees represent Australian’s finest independent music from the last 12 months.

The event is presented in partnership with naming rights partner, Carlton Dry and supported by major partner RDIO. The 2015 instalment of the awards will be presented on Thursday 22nd of October at Meat Market, North Melbourne with guest performers to be announced shortly.

Previous winners of the 2012 Best Independent Dance/Electronica album ‘Hyperparadise’ is Sydney duo Hermitude, who are nominated for Best Independent Artist, Independent Single/EP for ‘The Buzz and chart topping album ‘Dark Night Sweet Light’ is up for best independent album AND best independent Dance/Electronic album.

However, it is the Best Indepent album nominations that will have everyone on the edge of their seat as they wait to see who wins between Courtney Barnett, Hermitude, #1 Dads, Vance Joy and Chet Faker.
