Boy & Bear Announce Australian Tour Dates 2013
After eight months in the studio, 7000 bowls of pasta and four moderate cases of tennis elbow, BOY & BEAR are hitting the road once again for the 16 Days Under A Southern Sun Tour.
Battleships, an indie rock quartet out of Sydney have announced the departure of 3 out of the 4 members of the group overnight. These guys have toured with the likes of Boy and Bear, The Paper Kites and The Art of Sleeping and only released their newest single 'You Can't Change It' last month.
The group released a statement over twitter last night, telling fans that guitarist Nato Hannaford, bass and keyboardist Jonathan Bowden, and drummer Dan McMurray were to leave the group. With frontman Jordan Sturdee the only remaining member it is unclear at this point in time whether or not he will continue with the Battleships name.
The statement read:
"As you may of may not have heard, we (Jono, Dan and Nato) have decided that it is time for us to move on from Battleships. It seems that life has presented us with other opportunities and challenges, as it always does..." the statement read.
"At the moment, Jordan is unsure as to whether he will continue Battleships or move on to something else, but we wish him all the best for the future."
