Matt & Kim Announce Australian Headline Tour
New York''s explosive dance punk duo Matt & Kim will hit the road in support of their full-length Lightning, which is out now through Liberator.
Proving that rock ‘n’ roll never really dies, AC/DC front man Brian Johnson has revealed plans for a 40th anniversary tour for the seminal Australian band.
Always going above and beyond Johnson has told fans that because of the 40 years AC/DC has been together the band plans to do a 40 date tour around Australia. Not bad for a band who’s collective age is 308 years old.
Johnson recently said in a radio interview “I think we’re gonna try to do 40 gigs to thank the fans for their undying loyalty…I mean, honestly, our fans are just the best in the world, and we appreciate every one of them. So, like I said, we’ll have to go out, even though we’re getting a bit long in the tooth. You know what?! It’s been four years [since we last toured], and I’m really looking forward to it.”
Johnson also hinted at new music from the rock legends saying that they will be hitting up a recording studio in May.
AC/DC’s last world tour the 168 date Black Ice tour grossed almost half a billion dollars and while the upcoming Australian tour might not be as big it will certainly be closer to their hearts.
