CHET FAKER to release Live Sessions EP + Premiere of video for ŒArchangel

Following the release of his critically acclaimed debut EP Thinking in Textures, Chet Faker is set to release the three-part Live Sessions EP.

Recorded over a few sunny days in October at an ex-Butter Factory in the regional town of Newsread, Victoria, the Live Sessions EP will feature recordings of ‘Archangel', ‘Love And Feeling’ and ‘No Diggity’.

Premiered by Clash (UK), the first track is Chet Faker's reinterpretation of 'Archangel’ by the groundbreaking UK electronic producer Burial.

2012 has been an incredible year for Chet Faker. In March he played stand-out performances at SXSW, including a performance at the Filter Magazine Party and was touted as a 'must see' act by The Austin Chronicle. On 23 March 2012 his debut EP Thinking In Textures was released on Opulent / Remote Control in Australia, on Chess Club Records in the UK and on Downtown Records in the USA to widespread acclaim. Chet went on to sell out his Sydney and Brisbane Thinking in Textures launches and a remarkable three Melbourne launches in April, before taking off to the UK to perform at The Great Escape Festival. Chet went on to perform at the Sydney Opera House as part of the Vivid Live Festival, toured Europe with The Temper Trap and played at Meredith Festival.

Chet Faker was nominated for 5 Jagermeister Independent Music Awards, winning for Best Independent Single/EP and Breakthrough Independent Artist. Chet Faker is also nominated for two Rolling Stone Awards for Best New Talent and Best Independent Release. Earlier this year Chet Faker picked up three nominations at The Age EG Awards for Best New Talent, Best Male and Best Song for ‘No Diggity’.


Playing Laneway Festival 2013, Chet Faker is currently recording his debut album.
