2014 was a busy year for the world's most relentless beard-themed band. They managed to record yet another album of songs about beards (The Beard Album); embark on their biggest Australian tour to date; receive a second ARIA nomination and play to packed rooms throughout Europe on two separate international tours. Now, The Beards are back in their homeland and set to sternly reiterate their steadfast message on their upcoming "Strokin' My Beard Tour".
Come and stroke your beard in time with The Beards at The Triffid on Friday 1 May.
And ladies, that means you too — bring along your favourite ‘beard’.

In 2013 The Mercy Beat released three singles recorded with Tom Larkin (of Shihad fame). They’ve shared stages with the likes of The Bronx, METZ, DZ Deathrays, Hits, The Hard Ons, Gyroscope and Front End Loader. Rock Against Work #3 will be the last chance to catch The Mercy Beat live for a while, as they head back into the studio to put the final touches on their album!
The Mercy Beat will be joined by Lords of Wong, Love Hate Rebellion, The Grand Scheme, Union Radio and Big & Bangs for a massive afternoon of rock on Friday 8 May!

KARNIVOOL: The Themata Decade Tour
10 years ago, an unknown band from Perth pooled their limited resources and recorded their debut album. That band was Karnivool, and the album that had so much blood, sweat, tears expended on it in those early hours was ‘Themata’. A decade later and Karnivool are an international force to be reckoned with, they tour constantly, playing to a rabid worldwide audience that follows and debates their every move.

In Hearts Wake have become one of the most active and talked about bands in the country this year, following on from a 25 show regional tour, playing an afternoon slot on Soundwave Festival and bringing their environmentally conscious message to the masses by planting a tree for every copy of their album pre-ordered. They created a video game for fans to help promote their cause, self-produced their amazing video for first single ‘Divine’, and played up their environmental ethos on the cover of Blunt Magazine. Riding the highs and lows of touring, you could say Caravãna Sun had a big 2014. With the announcement of their 2015 summer tour, Under A Southern Sky, this year is set to be an even bigger one yet.
There is also a Rock’n’Roll DJ’s spinning tunes in the Triffid beer garden from 4pm - 10pm every Saturday, free entry!
