While on tour with Hey Geronimo, we had a chat with Deep Sea Arcade about their recent string of international festival appearances, the new album and life on the road.
Don’t fret Sydney, it’s back. Visions; a night that brings the newest Sydney-based musicians together to prance their skills and show off their talents, will be returning in 2015. After its roaring success in 2014, there was no way Sydney slickers could say no to the most eclectic and exciting collection of new live music.
December 2014 saw the cap-off the inaugural year for Sydney-based new music night, VISIONS.
Curators Deep Sea Arcade, with the help of Hot Mosh and Rare Finds, managed to cram over 45 sets of live Australian music (plus a few international DJ sets) into 12 months, treating 5,000 patrons to sets by The Creases, Shining Bird, Sures, The Babe Rainbow and The Dandelion, just to name a few.
Kicking into gear for 2015, they're pleased to announce that VISIONS #10 will be bringing in 2015 with another incredible line-up, featuring local favourites Chicks Who Love Guns supported by up-and-comers Black Springs and Northern Beaches / Growlers-supporters Winston Surfshirt.
Deep Sea Arcade DJ's, VISIONS DJ's and very special guest James Cooney will be delighting attendees with tunes all night.
VISIONS #10 will be held upstairs at WAYWARDS (The Bank Hotel) in Newtown on Friday February 6. Oh and entry is free, now you have no excuses not to come.
