Seven Girls, One Night

Black Bear Lodge are known for bringing you some very special nights and this is no exception. A septet of gorgeous gals will take over the lodge for one night of international bliss. The Vancouver goddesses that are The Courtneys join forces with HINDS (Formerly Deers) in a coheadline extravaganza.

Drifting back to the sound of the early '90s while reflecting a fun-in-the-sun West Coast mentality, The Courtneys deliver a special blend of fuzzy slacker pop that draws comparisons to Sonic Youth, Dinosaur Jr, The B52's and The Clean.

Greatly influenced by Eddy Current Suppression Ring and Flying Nun bands, the self-titled eight track album is alive with fuzzed-up jangle and clever pop that makes for the prefect soundtrack to summer.

They'll be joined Hinds (formerly Deers), making their first visit outside of Europe, HINDS make raw garage pop generated by a fidgety sleepover club of Spanish young ladies. Founding members, Garcia Perrote and Carlotta Cosials, joined by bandmates Ade Martin and Amber Grimbergen create saccharine sounds about young lust and teenage mischief. Their growing collection of tracks being a by-product of the gang hanging out, without seriousness, more the overheard sounds of a jovial jam between friends.

The Furrs will also join the crew at Black Bear Lodge on February 19, so jump in quick, it'll be sure to be one hell of a night.
