There are a few party must haves for Brisbane's steamy summer days... cold brews, a backyard BBQ, and triple j's Hottest 100 countdown blasting your thongs off. Brisbane city dwellers lacking these Straya Day necessities, The Triffid has your back! They'll be transforming the beer garden into the ultimate backyard soiree for Brisbane's official Triple J Hottest 100 Party!

Featuring live music from Brisbane four-piece Millions and listed as one of Tone Deaf's "The 9 Best Australia Day Weekend Parties You Should Attend", you couldn't hope for a better way to celebrate the best music of the past year.  

Kicking off at 10am, The Triffid's new Craft Beer Bar will be stocked with a tasty selection of boutique beers and Howzat Burgers by Philip Johnson will be on the grill!

CHILDREN OF THE REVOLUTION
The history of the protest song This January, just two days after what would have been the 86th birthday of inspirational civil rights leader Martin Luther King Jr, some of Queensland's finest artists will converge at The Triffid for – CHILDREN OF THE REVOLUTION: The History of The Protest Song. Featuring Jackie Marshall, Luke Peacock (with full band), Sahara Beck, Kahl Wallis (The Medics), CKNU, Lucy Star (Satellite),Celestino and more!

THE GROWLERS with BABE RAINBOW & DONNY LOVE
After showcasing their 'Beach Goth' at sold-out shows across Australia earlier this year, California's The Growlers returned home to California to bring you 'Chinese Fountain', a new full-length album of reverb-heavy surf-guitar, Bakersfield-style honky-tonk, and '80s post-punk that fans have come to expect, but this time with a whole mix of new sounds. 7pm – 12pm  

Saturday 24 January
TRIFFID PRESENTS: A MOSMAN ALDER CURATED EVENT
Featuring Soviet X-Ray Record Club, Big Bad Echo, Smoke, Nonsemble, Teva Upclock and a stripped back Mosman Alder. That's a whole lot of music for your long weekend!

Plus, each and every Sunday from 2pm – 7pm Triffid Roots, presented by Sarah Howells (Roots 'N All), takes over the Beer Garden to bring you the best of Brisbane and Australia's roots musicians...and all totally free.   The Triffid, your backyard haven!
