Add A Dab Of Hip-Hop To Your AFL

A musician and an AFL star walk into a studio, and who knew they would have something to talk about? Presentation Night brings together Sydney Swans legend Jude Bolton and Tim Levinson (or as the Aussie hip-hop lovers know him as, Urthboy). Joining forces to create a forum to discuss their undying love of music and footy which takes some turns to the philosophical and funny and it’s coming to Sydney, so get keen!

Presentation Night was born of a desire to talk about two much loved obsessions together in a public forum, an extension of the blog of the same name. In a football and music-loving country where the two pursuits are so often followed with equal passion, to have two greats in their field talk about their love of both capers gives us a chance to learn something new beyond the usual reportage of their endeavours.

The conversation takes flight between a footballer who loves music, and a musician who loves football. It’s a live talk show that takes Australian Rules football and music as starting points for a discussion about our great obsessions – love, life, how to win the flag, how kicking a ball and writing songs define us. It’s about learning something new about our heroes, and ourselves.

Their first Sydney show definitely will hold a few surprises, and there really is no telling where the conversation will lead. If you love footy, if you love music, if you love getting into the psyche of others and seeing what makes people tick (maybe don’t tell your friends about that last one though) then Presentation Night is definitely worth a gander.
