Janelle Monae and Kimbra Postpone Sydney Show

Tonight's Sydney performance by Janelle Monáe and Kimbra on their Golden Electric Tour will not go ahead at the Sydney Opera House Concert Hall due to illness.

After cancelling her Melbourne performance at The Forum on Saturday night, Janelle Monáe has had to remain in Melbourne under medical supervision to assess her recovery. A member of Monae’s touring party announced that would be pulling out of her first Melbourne show just minutes before she was set to take the stage. Monae was set to take the stage at 9:45pm and the announcement was made at 10:15pm, about 30 minutes after Kimbra’s opening set.  The promoters, Live Nation, are currently working to secure a rescheduled performance date later this week and regret any inconveniences that may be caused. An announcement will be made tomorrow about a rescheduled date for Sydney fans.
