With a whirlwind month of shows abroad, Cub Sport have kicked off the release of their ‘Paradise’ EP overseas in style. Signing to US indie Cosine, the single hit #19 most added in the CMJ Charts just as the band played the annual CMJ Music Marathon and locked in new stateside agent Larry Webman - partner in Paradigm Talent Agency and the booker for Coldplay, Santigold and Paul Kellyamong others.
From there the band headed across the ditch for their second trip around Europe and the UK this year with highlights including live to air performances on XFM and BBC London and shows in Berlin, Amsterdam and London.
The band have also launched a Paradise remix this week— “Twice is Nice” which is already picking up support across the interwebs.
Cub Sport are launching into their three remaining Australian shows for 2013 with Voltaire Twins and Colourwheel joining them for a Melbourne show at The Workers Club, and Colourwheel heading north with them to Sydney at Brighton Up Bar, before the band rounds out the year with a free hometown all ages show at Valley Fiesta.
They will have a limited edition 12” vinyl in tow which features both their “Paradise” and “Told You So” EPs on alternate sides available at the shows which are expected to be snapped up quickly.

Brisbane’s Cub Scouts’ EP Paradise has hit the iTunes store this morning, delivering five new slices of pop including the singles “Paradise” and “Pool!”.
“Paradise” is a welcome party track, drawing on the keys and weekend-endearing qualities of solidly ‘80s synthpop, in the most fitting way.
