On Saturday Oct 26, the inaugural KARNEVIL will see Luna Park’s BIG TOP transformed into the biggest haunted house on the harbour for an eerie evening of thrills and chills. A mysterious miasma of spectral spooks and carnival ghouls will invade the Big Top including but not limited to DJ sets from the likes of BOMBS AWAY, NINA LAS VEGAS, WHAT SO NOT and EGO’s AV set as well as displays of visual curiosity from an army of circus freaks, and, of course, YOU – in your formidably frightening or spectrally scintillating HALLOWEEEN FANCY DRESS.
BOMBS AWAY is just one of the acts set to fill the room with sounds of tuneful terror, channelling the formidable sound-weaving skills that earned them two consecutive #1 singles in the ARIA charts, the title #1 Artist in Australia and #32 on the Worldwide DJLIST in 2012 into righteous party bass and a symphonious séance.
The sinister soundscape continues as NINA LAS VEGAS takes her rightful throne on the decks, bringing the same raw energy that has slayed countless dancefloors Australia-wide and now onto the KARNEVIL stage.
They’ll be joined by WHAT SO NOT, whose epic remixes have gained the attention of the who’s who of EDM who have been dropping their tunes on BBC 1 radio and at every major festival around the globe. With their second EP almost finished this is a must see artist.
Sure to be a highlight of the festivities with a creeptown, cinemascape spectacular will be the EGO AV set with shuddering sounds in a dual audio-visual experience especially mixed for the KARNEVIL experience giving punters the chance to see why the buzz on EGO is so huge.
A legion of circus freaks will perform gruesome feats of visual horror and heart-stopping thrills throughout the night and YOU will also be a part of the army of spooks on this day of the dead extravaganza, with door prizes and recognition for best-dressed and most terrifying on the night.
Never before seen in Australia, the imported U.S. props will induce terror and mutate the Big Top into our most grim of nightmares.
