Announcing Australia’s Newest Music Festival: Follow The Sun

Watch out Bluesfest, there’s a new kid on the block - Adelaide has announced a brand spanking newbie to the 'blues and roots music' festival circuit.

Follow The Sun Festival will take place in the picturesque beachside surrounds of Glenelg on Sunday 5th October 2014. The one-day boutique event will be a celebration of Australian blues and roots music, with a confirmed lineup to include the mighty Paul Dempsey (Something For Kate), Bonjah, Dallas Frasca, Benjalu, Lyall Moloney, Tom Richardson, Ciaram Granger, Babylon Burning, Voice Of Trees, James Abberley, Alice Haddy, The Fuller Brothers & Kiki.

Follow The Sun will provide festival-goers of all ages with a 'backyard bbq' vibe, welcoming friends and families along for a day of music and enticing produce set against South Australia's stunning landscape. Without the hassles of long queues and with a commitment to high standard hospitality across the board, Follow The Sun offers a comfortable, relaxed alternative to large-scale festivals.

The licensed event will include a range of delicious food topped off with an array of local wines and imported beers. The founder of the event David Elmes operates the Watermark Glenelg, regarded as one of Adelaide's most iconic venues. Elmes, a respected publican in the community, saw an opportunity to combine his passion for hospitality and quality entertainment.

“Follow The Sun festival will be a great opportunity to showcase Glenelg, some outstanding Aussie music talent and a few drinks with your mates. What could be better! It will almost be like a party in your own backyard. I am really excited for Follow The Sun and to create something unique for the bay.”
