Soundwave 2014 Third Lineup Announcement is About to Drop

Soundwave

After months of finger nailing biting anticipation, the long awaited third lineup announcement for Soundwave 2014 is going to drop…. tomorrow! *Insert cheering here.*

Industry sources have confirmed AJ Maddah's news that the announcement will come this Friday.

Maddah originally hoped to make the third announcement before Christmas but it has taken longer than expected. In late 2013, Maddah confirmed there "will be a few internationals left over for the third announcement," but it will be "mostly locals."

Finally, good news came for all punters when Maddah mentioned the “3rd announce [would be] next week.” He also revealed that the equally awaited Sidewave announcements would commence this week, with timetables aimed for release “late this month."

It is currently looking very likely that the third announcement will include Sparks The Rescue, and local spots for The Bennies and King Parrot. Although rumours have been flying around whether a number of previously mentioned international and local artists will be a part of the third announcement.

These include, Swedish glam metal group Crashdiet, but Maddah has been cryptic about their fate, saying “at this point they either be on 3rd announcement or not!” And former Slipknot drummer Joey Jordison‘s most recent project Scar The Martyr, whom Jordison himself hinted, late in 2013, would be heading down for Soundwave.

Maddah has stated that Las Vegas post-hardcore outfit Falling In Reverse are “confirmed” for Soundwave, but hasn't made an official announcement yet, saying "we'll know in a few days."

And local Darkc3ll, that Maddah is “trying actively to find a spot,” as well as Melbourne’s Ne Obliviscaris, as Maddah tweeted “would love to have them provided there is a spot left.”

However, Maddah has stated that the third line announcement isn't “not much of an announcement,” but it will drop “this Friday” and will consist of “a few bands.”
