Ladi6 - The Ice Cream Factory - April 9th
Arriving at ‘The Ice-cream factory’ I was slightly curious to see the new venue and see how they could turn an ice-cream factory into a new venue. I was surly surprised and amazed at the creativity when I walked into the room. The only downside to the venue was that although it was 18+ you couldn’t take any drinks out to where the performers where.
Starting off the night was the distinct vocal stylings of Captain Dreamboat. I have to say this was a perfect way to start the night. As people where arriving and greeting others it was very nice to have that atmosphere beginning to be built.
Next up for the performers was Rudekat Sound ft Sunny Dread and then after Lotek. Both these bands brought the crowd to the front and had ninety percent of the crowd up and dancing to their music. The lead singer of Lotek especially was very pleasant to watch as he sang and entertained the crowd.
Last but not least was LADI6! After bracing the stage looking absolutely stunning and with her two musicians, the crowd was graced with an amazing voice. You can see why there is so much hype around this artist.
I honestly can say this was defiantly an event I normally would not attend but I left that night with a smile on my face after enjoying a really well planned, spectacular night.
