Last Dinosaurs Named As Support Act For The Wombats

Brisbane indie band Last Dinosaurs have been confirmed as the support act for The Wombats’ one and only Australian headline show at the Hordern Pavilion in Sydney on Sunday, 3 January.

Last Dinosaurs have risen from Queensland’s simmering indie scene with their own brand of indie guitar-pop, with second album ‘Wellness’ debuting in the Top 20 of the ARIA Album chart. Their triple j supported national album tour saw Last Dinosaurs travel across six states to headline some of the biggest venues of their career, including The Enmore Theatre in Sydney and The Corner in Melbourne.

The Wombats on the other hand have just been added to the Falls Festival line-ups in Byron Bay and Marion Bay, as well as Southbound Festival. No stranger to playing to enraptured Aussie crowds, the Brit-pop trio were last in Australia earlier this year, playing at Splendour In The Grass and sell-out sideshows across the land.

The Wombats have just wrapped up their US tour and are currently touring the UK and Europe to support their third release ‘Glitterbug’, which debuted in second place on the ARIA charts and earned triple j feature album status.

This is one huge gig so don’t miss out on your chance to catch these two awesome bands live.
