Thee Oh Sees are returning to Australia, with the band announcing a massive nine-date tour for January 2016.
Considered as one of the most influential, pioneering and exciting garage bands of the 2000s, Thee Oh Sees will be touring off the back of their heaviest record to date, ‘Mutilator Defeated At Last’, along with a brand new line-up of John Dwyer (vocals, guitar), Timothy Hellman (bass) and double drummers Ryan Moutinho and Dan Rincon.
To celebrate their first tour of Australia since 2013, Thee Oh Sees will be releasing their new album for the very first time as a limited edition deluxe vinyl.
While previous album ‘Drop’ was more scattered in range, from heavy to whimsical and back again, ‘Mutilator Defeated At Last’ has only two reprieves from heaviness in an onslaught that demands to be played loudly.
Despite the heavier feel, Thee Oh Sees continue to weave synths and acoustic guitars throughout the mix. One this is certain: this is the loudest, fastest and tightest Thee Oh Sees have ever sounded across their 14 studio releases to date.
