It looks like this is the end for Black Sabbath, with the band announcing a tour of Australia as part of the second leg of their farewell tour in 2016.
According to their website, Black Sabbath will be calling it quits for good after this world tour, which they promise will surpass all previous tours with their most mesmerizing production ever.
So far the band, consisting of original members Ozzy Osbourne, Tony Iommi and Geezer Butler, have announced that the tour will start in North America on 20 January 2016 before dates in Australia and New Zealand in April.
The legendary heavy metal band from Birmingham reunited with original members Osbourne, Iommi and Butler in 2012 and recorded ‘13’, their 19th studio album before a world tour in 2013. Original drummer Bill Ward did not record or tour with the band, citing contractual problems as the reason why he did not participate. So far there has been no word on who will be behind the kit for this latest tour, aptly named The End.
Ozzy has also confirmed that the band are working on their final studio album, due for release in 2016.
One thing is for sure though, if you haven’t already seen these legends, then best get your tickets to witness these heavy metal beasts one last time.
