Sydney five-piece Jack Ladder & the Dreamlanders have secured the musical equivalent of Willy Wonka’s Golden Ticket with the announcement they will support Florence & the Machine on their November Australia and New Zealand tour.
Jack Ladder aka Tim Rogers (but not that Tim Rogers) has now released four albums alongside his band, the Dreamlanders (which includes the eclectic Kirin J Callinan), the most recent being 2014’s ‘Playmates’. Best known for singles Her Hands and Come On Back This Way, recorded with Sharon van Etten, and a surrealist baritone singing voice, Jack Ladder & the Dreamlanders’ existentialism should serve as worthy counterpoint to Florence Welch’s emotional pragmatism.
Only a few shows are still selling for Florence & the Machine’s Australia and New Zealand tour. Jack ladder & the Dreamlanders play a handful of shows in September before the tour.
