Red in Tooth Set to Release Self-Titled EP
The only time we usually see red in tooth is when we get a bit too vigorous with our toothbrush but lucky for us all, there will be a Red in Tooth of a much better kind this June!
It's only so often you hear a band that sounds as unique and apart from the pack such as Red in Tooth. Red in Tooth's brand new self-titled EP is a snarling, hard-edged, all-out assault on the senses. They are releasing it on Friday June 13 - just ahead of an East Coast tour that takes them from Cairns in North QLD, all the way to Melbourne and Bendigo in Victoria and everywhere in between.
Red in Tooth are a 3 piece Progressive Metal band from Gladstone, Queensland. Formed in early 2012, they have been slowly honing their talents playing shows whilst constantly writing. Now, they are set to release their debut self titled EP recorded at Strike Studios in Gladstone, Queensland.
The four track EP, entitled Red in Tooth is a brutally heavy, progressive record and shows off the burgeoning songwriting talent of a band coming out of the small town of Gladstone on the Central Queensland Coast. The massive sound captured in the recording experience at Strike Studios is also indicative of their live sound - a wall of sound more akin to a five piece band.
The EP is a short (15 minutes) but ultimately very sweet progressive/hardcore experience. Vocalist Jasper Webb's snarling attack of the microphone matches the ferocity of the bass guitar lines, the progressive guitar riffs colouring the overall palette of the EP and the snap of the snare drum gives it that top-end harshness needed to make heads bang.
To celebrate and spread the word, they are taking the EP on the road from North Queensland to Victoria and everywhere in between, taking in Cairns, Townsville, Mackay, Gladstone, Sunshine Coast, Gold Coast, Brisbane, Byron Bay, Boambee, Tamworth, Armidale, Sydney, Canberra, Melbourne and Bendigo, alongside Northern Queensland pals THANARTIST and Fifth Day of Ice.
