KATAKLYSM Australian Tour Announced
‘KATAKLYSM played an awesome, fast, heavy set. You know it’s a heavy show when it becomes uncomfortable to stand in the venue because of the reverb, when you know that the PA can barely handle it,...
Everyone pack your Dad’s, absolute rock legends, The Eagles have just announced what could very well be their last visit to Australia.
The History of the Eagles World Tour will feature the band reminiscing about their career and sharing the intimate stories behind some of their biggest hits.
The six-time Grammy winners are set to perform a massive run of shows, with the tour including indoor arena dates in Perth, Melbourne and Sydney as well as special outdoor concerts in Hunter Valley, Auckland and Victoria’s iconic Hanging Rock.
The History of the Eagles sees members Glenn Frey, Don Henley, Joe Walsh and Timothy B Schmit deliver an incredible three-hour songfest of classic Eagles hits, including all of your old man’s favourites, such as ‘Desperado’, ‘Take It Easy’, ‘New Kid In Town’, ‘Lyin’ Eyes’ and ‘Take It To The Limit’,
Formed in Los Angeles in 1971, the Eagles’ seven albums – Eagles (1972), Desperado (1973), On The Border (1974), One Of These Nights (1975), Hotel California (1976), The Long Run (1979) and a 28-year-wait for Long Road Out of Eden (2007) – have sold millions of copies worldwide, selling over 83 million albums in the USA alone.
The band's Their Greatest Hits (1971-1975) record has become the equal-highest selling album of all-time in the United States, tied with Michael Jackson's Thriller according to the Recording Industry Association of America. Putting out a greatest hits collection after only four years was criticised at the time, but was later seen as a masterstroke.
Their almost unrivaled album sales have put the band in the top-five selling artists of all time in the US, with only The Beatles, Elvis, Garth Brooks and Led Zeppelin ahead of them.
