KATAKLYSM Australian Tour Announced
‘KATAKLYSM played an awesome, fast, heavy set. You know it’s a heavy show when it becomes uncomfortable to stand in the venue because of the reverb, when you know that the PA can barely handle it,...
You could be forgiven for thinking that Chet Faker had been around for many moons, he's collaborations and EPs have had us crooning since day one but finally he is on tour with his debut album and oh boy are there good times to be had!
With the release of Built On Glass last week, Chet Faker takes to the road this June/July and will cross the country, starting from Geelong and making his way down to finish in Hobart; stopping at regional centres along they way as well.
This eleven-date tour is the first headline tour we've seen from Nick Murphy, the bearded man since his Thinking in Textures EP in 2012 but we've certainly heard a lot from him, including this collaboration with Flume Drop The Game which was yesterday shortlisted for the APRA Song of the Year Award.
The main support for his tour will be New Zealand dream-pop act Yumi Zouma and Murphy will tour with a full band in support also.
Tickets go on sale Tuesday 22 April at 9AM AEST.

As we all try so hard to keep the resolutions we made just a week ago, we look back at the best bits of 2013 with our Top 10 Australian Albums of 2013.
A round of applause for Chet Faker, as his debut release Thinking In Textures has gone GOLD in Australia.
