Sun City Add New Shows to National Tour

Perth electro pop heroes Sun City show no signs of slowing down. Recently releasing their sophomore EP ‘Set Alight’, they kicked off their correlating national tour last week with packed out shows in Sydney and Brisbane. Due to the success of these first performances and by popular demand, they have added more dates to their already jam-packed tour!
Sun City recently returned from their first international tour of Africa, which included headlining to a 3000 strong crowd at SalmonFest in Zimbabwe. An exceptional achievement for the duo, given they had not yet played a single show outside of their hometown. Back on our shores, it’s time for Australia to find out exactly what all the hype is about.
Tobias John and Daniel Mackey (the brains and brawn behind Sun City) capture the essence of summer and deliver an electrifying record and live show to emulate the season of fun in the sun. Audiences will hear reminisces of m83 and Passion Pit, along with Sun City’s original blend of classic 80’s analogue synth hooks with big baselines and dynamic vocals. The EP also features the summertime remix of ‘High’ by Perth-based pal and Modular poster-boy Shazam.
The hardworking duo have also mashed up tracks for the likes of Miami Horror and Bag Raiders, creating dancefloor favourites and establishing the act as exceptional producers in addition to being hailed as “a band to watch”.
To add to their live performance CV, they have appeared at some of the country’s most iconic festivals including Parklife, Stereosonic and Summadayze, as well as supporting the likes of Ashton Shuffle.
