Sydney five-piece Big White have just dropped their new single ‘Dinosaur City’, accompanied by a dreamy VHS-bleed music video.
Taking inspiration from everything from British New Wave to Australian jangle pop, the group have had one hell of a year, signing with Burger Records, playing at SXSW in the US, and showcasing at Brisbane’s own BIGSOUND, among many other rad things.
To celebrate the release of their new single, the group are going to release a limited edition 7” with a B-side Japanese version of their last single ‘You Know I Love You’. It’ll be dropping on December 4, so keep your eyes peeled.
The clip for ‘Dinosaur City’ was filmed on a very low budget, with vocalist/lead guitarist Cody Munro Moore saying it “was filmed by us and a couple of friends over the first few hot nights of spring. With some orange juice in hand and a few flash lights we set out trying to portray what dancing in the street would have been like if Mick Jagger and Bowie were living in Hurlstone Park with a couple of handy-cams between them.”
