City Calm Down has released a stunning music video for their single Son off their debut album ‘In A Restless House’.
Set amongst the wooden pews and altar of a church, the track takes on a new meaning with its tale of worship and redemption. With its rich layers of organs, keys and horns, the video makes you feel like you’ve had a holy experience, which is perfectly matched by the costumes and black and white lighting of the band as they play the song in solitary reflection, surrounded by statues and stain glass windows. Directed by Prad Sen, the clip beautifully shot and becomes a natural extension of the song.
On top of the new video, City Calm Down has announced the ‘In A Restless House’ album tour for April next year. This summer will see the band hit the festival circuit, performing at Disconnect Festival in Fairbridge, WA, Lost Paradise in Glenworth Valley, NSW, the sold out Falls Festival in Lorne and at Sugar Mountain in Melbourne.
City Calm Down are quickly becoming one of Australia’s hottest bands, and with songs like this it’s not hard to see why.
