The Drones Announce Australia & NZ Tour Dates 2013
A Moat You Can Stand In is the second single from The Drones critically acclaimed sixth studio record I See Seaweed.
Australia’s alternative rock legends The Drones have just released their new track Taman Shud, the first single from their yet-to-be-released seventh album.
The song is a frantic and barbed commentary on Australian culture and politics, with front man Gareth Liddiard’s voice, along with the jolting syncopation of the percussion, shaking the listener to their core. It marks a slight change in sound for the band, particularly with the unusual beat, but it still has the same Drones essence.
The video to accompany the new track is a satirical Photoshop affair, with layered images of Australian clichés and some moody, dark shots of the band playing.
As always, The Drones aren’t afraid to say what they think, even if it ruffles a few feathers.
