JOY. has released a stunning new video for her first single About Us off her debut EP, ‘Ode’.
Already touted as an act to watch at BIGSOUND earlier this year, the 17-year-old producer kicks off her national headline tour later this month and will be joined by newcomer Owen Rabbit in the main supporting role, who has just come off a sold-out national tour supporting Safia.
The new video from JOY. is a brooding and cinematic exploration of lost love, distilled in a youthful melancholy that forms a deep running theme in ‘Ode’, and is quite literally a joy to watch.
So far About Us has tallied over 140 000 Soundcloud streams and 390 000 plays on Spotify with glowing reviews both in Australia and abroad.
So far this year has been busy for JOY., with the Brisbane born artist claiming the title of triple j Unearthed Feature artist earlier this year, performing as the triple j Unearthed winner at the Brisbane leg of Laneway Festival and Field Day 2015.
