On Tour
Def Leppard To Pour Some Sugar On Aus
2015 has become the year of the oldies and goldies on tour, and they just keep coming. Def Leppard are on their way, announcing their 2015 Australian tour this November. Let's rock.
What was old is now new again, and stadium rock icons Def Leppard are back with a new self titled studio album available 30 October, with the first single, called Let’s Go, available now, as well as a limited run of Australian dates.
This is the eleventh studio album for the band from Sheffield, and their first release since 2008.
As lead singer Joe Elliot explained, the band didn’t come together with the idea for a full-length album, rather a three track EP. However when they started writing and rehearsing they soon had fourteen songs.
This is also the first album they have recorded without a record deal in place beforehand, which afforded the band more freedom and scope to pursue the songs wherever they lead the band.
Formed in 1977, Def Leppard have gone on to be one of the greatest rock bands ever, and have sold over 100 million albums in a career that has spanned over three decades.
Def Leppard have always had an uncanny knack of writing toe tapping rock anthems, and this album is sure to be a hit with the die hard fans, while drawing in a younger generation to the awesome power that is Def Leppard.
